What was the social hierarchy of England?

A
  • Nobility: People with a title and lots of land.
  • Gentry: Same as nobility, but without the title.
  • Yeomen: Men with small amounts of land.
  • Tenant Farmers: Rented land to form and make money from.
  • Landless and labouring poor: Basically slaves
  • Vagrants and homeless: Disabled and homeless.

  • Professionals
  • Business owners
  • Skilled craftsmen: Skilled men, apprentices for seven years then earn money.
