Social Class Definition
Social Class refers to the social economic position of a person is measured by such factors as their job,income, wealth, tastes.
Social Class refers to the socio-economic status and identity that are attached to a person because of their job
Social classes
upper class- the elite clas that controls the majority of wealth and power in British Society
The middle class-those individuals enagaged in non- manual work often having higher higher levels of educational achievements
the working class-those individuals enagaged in manual work
the under class those who are long term unemployed
Types of social class inequalities
Income and wealth- income refers to money from wages, investment and rent. Wealth refers to the ownership of land buliding,stocks and shares in the financial Year
Life Expectancy-those who are in class , Professionals such as accountants and lawyers can except to live longer than those in class and so on sown steadily to class which includes unskilled workers. Women in the class of 1 have a life expectancy and women in 5 have a life expectancy
health- There is a social class gradient in helath
Education-social class is the most significant factors a referring educational attainment performance evry level of the education system
