Define conformity

Define compliance
Individuals change behavior based on the request of others; techniques for gaining compliance include foot-in-the door, door-in-the-face, lowball, and that’s-not-all
Define foot in the door
Compliance tactic that aims at getting a person to agree to a large request by having them agree to a modest request first.
Define door in the face
Initially you make a big request which a person can be expected to refuse. Then you make a smaller request which the person finds difficult to refuse because they feel they should’t always say NO!
Define lowball
Persuader gets a person to commit to a low-ball offer they have no intention of keeping; then the price is suddenly increased. Since a person has already committed, it is hard to say no to the new higher price demand.
Define that’s not all
When offering or conceding something to somebody, rather than give it to them as a final item, give it in incremental pieces. Do not allow them to respond to each piece you give them – keep on offering more.
Define obedience
Change in behavior based on a command from someone seen as an authority figure.
