A
- Open borders: Minimal/no barriers to the movement of people in and out the country
- Deregulation: Reduction/elimination of government regulations in areas
- Foreign Direct Investment: Investment made by a company in once country into businesses located into other businesses (encouraged TNC workers to move abroad)

A
- Migrants need housing, jobs & education which could cause services to face strain leading to tensions between communities
- Immigrants may feel they are being discriminated against

How has the government tried to control the spread of globalisation?
A
- Censorship - governments have limited the access to online information
e.g. in China Facebook and Twitter are unavailable
e.g. North Korea the internet is banned to eliminate westernised ideas - Strengthening laws: to limit immigration
e.g. Australia uses points system to ensure economic needs of country is being met

What is resource nationalism?
A
When governments take measures to ensure that domestic industries and consumers have priority access to resources found in their country
