What is social learning theory?
A way of explaining behaviour that include direct and indirect reinforcement
What is vicarious reinforcement?
Not directly experienced which occurs through observing someone else being forced for a behaviour
What is SLT often described as? - role of mediational processes
The bridge between traditional learning theory and the cognitive theory as it focuses on how mental factors are involved in learning
What is attention?
Extent to which we notice certain behaviours
What is retention?
How well behaviour is remembered
What is motor reproduction?
Ability of the observer to perform the behaviour
What is motivation?
Willingness to perform the behaviour
What are children more likely to do? (Identification)
Imitate the behaviour of people who they identify with - role models - modelling
