what is legitamacy of authority?
we are more likely to obey people of authority
explain how an authoritarian personality is created.
develops from having a harsh childhood. As the child cannot express their emotions properly, they displace them to people who are ‘weaker’ which is called scapegoating.
which scale measures an authoritarian personality?
The F-scale.
give the limitations of F-scale.
it has aquiescance bias, is politically bias (very right wing)

this is when a person obey’s even though they know what their doing is wrong but feel like their doing it for an authoritative figure.
what are internals and externals?
internals take responsibility for their actions, but externals blame someone else.
what is NSI?
when you conform to fit in and be liked.
what is ISI?
when you conform to be right
what is identification?
when you go along with a view because you have accepted their point and you identify with them.
describe the difference between internalisation and compliance.
compliance is temporary and goes along with it publicly, identification is permanent and you actually believe the view yourself, publicly and privately.

what is social cryptomnesia?
a failure to remember the origin of a change, in which people know that a change has occurred in society, but forget how this change occurred
what is locus of control?
an explanation to resistance of conformity to social influence.
