The theory that people are less likely to help someone in danger when there are other people around.

When people step in to help someone in danger even though there are people around.

Diffusion of Responsibility
Diffusion of responsibility refers to the fact that as the number of bystanders increases, the personal responsibility that an individual bystander feels decreases.
Pluralistic Ignorance
Pluralistic ignorance is a situation in which a majority of group members privately reject a norm, but go along with it because they assume, incorrectly, that most others accept it.
Conformity
Conformity is the act of matching attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors to group norms, politics or being like-minded.
