Halsey - believes mc more likely to be in grammar schools + believes new system should be implemented to provide greater equality

EMA - Labour Government launched financial scheme for students 16-19 whose parents low income were able to receive max £10,20,30 this was designed to encourage students to stay in education and get bigger qualifications

A

city academies = provided additional English language classes + in class support for targeted students and acknowledged students prior learning experience, increased cultural awareness

Curriculum 2000 = introduced the idea of modular curriculum which required candidates to take modules as they proceeded through course e.g.
- A level split As and A2, exam in jan + June of both years of study

To prevent wastage of ability (compensatory education - Sure start)

A

set up to work with parents to be, parents and children. Idea was to compensate for children who find themselves academically behind by the time they reach school and gives them opportunities to be more school ready.

To encourage the teaching of meaningful vocational statues to prepare students for work ( The New deal)

A

education needs to be expanded and developed, next generation needs to be quipped with appropriate skills and knowledge to contribute to growth of country.
