What are the levels of government?
federal, provincial/territorial and municipal/local.
Executive Branch
Includes the PM and cabinet ministers
Responsible for government operations and putting laws into action.
Legislative Branch
Includes house of commons, senate and gov general.
Responsible for reading, debating, amending and voting on proposed bills
Judicial Branch
Includes the Supreme court
Interprets the law and determines the punishment for those who violate established laws, rules and regulations
