How does Bourdieu (1984) define social capital?
It is the resources, benefits and opportunities individuals gain from their network of relationships and social connections embedding the value of social interactions, trust and shared norms within a community or group
What is Bonding social capital?
Strong ties with a close - knit group like family or close friends, offering emotional support and a sense of belonging
What is bridging social capital?
Connections between diverse groups or individuals, fostering wider social integration and access to different resources
