  • Fear of showing symptoms that will be negatively evaluated
  • Social situations almost always provoke fear and anxiety

  • Not attributable to a substance, medication or mental disorder.

A

Decreased likelyhood of marriage and increased likelyghood of divorce if married.
-Increased chance of lack of employment and lower education level.
Relationship with social isolation
Tend to have higher rates of disability, negative perceptions and reduced QOL.
