What is social justice?
process of trying to
redress the imbalance that happens amongst disadvantaged
people who are impacted by poverty, discrimination.
What is environmental justice?
The right to a safe, healthy, productive and sustainable environment
What does crime and violence have to do with each other?
Crime makes people angry and fearful and distrustful and violence causes people to die. Violence is typically caused from crime
What does crime and violence lead to?
Depression and sadness
Fear, anxiety and worry
Heart attacks
Obesity
Lonliness
Physical injuries
PTSD
What to do about crime, violence, corruption and fraud?
Don’t commit crimes
Phone police

What is poverty?
You are too poor to pay for your basic needs
What is poverty linked to?
Poor health
Lack of food
Lack of basic reasources and services
Lack of access to a healthy and safe environment
Fewer eductaional opportunities
What is the definition of lack of housing?
People not having access to basic reasources such as housing
What is unemployment?
Not having work and it is one of the main causes of poverty
What is food security?
Everybody has access to enough safe, healthy and nutritious food to meet their dietry needs and preferences
What has a bad effect on food production?
Droughts
Floods
Fires
What does food insecurity lead to?
Undernourishment
Malnutrition
What are resources and services that are unequal?
Lack of water
Health services
What are social thinking skills?
Skills that enable you to consider the views of others, to understand how to behave in society and to express care and concern towards others
