Open system
Where skills need to be adapted to the environment you are playing in
Closed system
Where skills will be affected by the environment. This can be practiced over and over again
Basic skill
Where the player finds the skill easy and need concentration to
Complex skill
Where the skill need the players full concentration as it is difficult to perform
Low organisation
Skills thats have clear, simple phases or parts. You can break the phases down, to improve your technique
High organisation
Skill that has a lot of complicated phase or part. You cant break phases down
Visual guidance
Showing an accurate replication of of the skill
Verbal guidance
Someone telling you how to perform the skill
Manual / mechanical guidance
Where the coach comes in contact with the learner to help them perform the skill
Intinsic feedback
Performers evaluate their performers by themselves. Says how they feel they have done
Extrinsic feedback
Comes from an outside source. For example, a teacher or a coach
Concurrent feedback
Is given at the time of the performance. For example , shouting from the sideline
Terminal feedback
Given at the end of the performance, gives you time to reflect on your performance
