SNS Receptors Flashcards
Alpha1 receptors
controls vasoconstriction, increased peripheral resistance with increased BP, pupil dilation, thickened salivary secretions, closure of urinary bladder spincter, male sexual emission
Alpha2
Negative feedback control of norepinephrine release from presynaptic neuron
Beta1
increased HR, increased conduction through the atrioventricular node, increased myocardial contraction, lipolysis in peripheral tissues
Beta2
vasodilation, bronchial dilation, increased breakdown of muscle and liver glycogen, release of glucagon from pancreas, relaxation of uterine smooth muscle, decreased GI muscle tone and activity, decreased GI secretions, relaxation of urinary bladder detrusor muscle
Muscarine
pupil constriction, accomidation of lens, decreased HR, increased GI motility, increased GI secretions, increased urinary bladder contraction, male erection, sweating
Nicotinic
muscle contractions release of norepinephrine from the adrenal medulla, autonomic ganglia stimulation
