A

It is a separate medication as well as the metabolite of venlafaxine. Does all the same shit.

Duloxetine

A

SNRI, greater efficacy in depression then SSRI, Moderate inhibition of CYP2D6, SE; anorexia, drowsiness, HA, insomnia, N/V, Dry mouth. Hepatotoxic!!!!-dont give in liver disease. Contraindicated in 3rd trimester. Tx for depression, better than SSRI for physical symptoms.

SNRI. Tx for fibromyalgia as well as depression. SE: GI upset, increased BP, SIADH.
