Helps flotation, abrasion resistance, and protection from the cold. Made from foamed neoprene
Equalisation
Equalisation is as you descend, you will begin to feel pressure on your ears. When equalising, you should hear a crackling sound and feel the pressure subside.
Either hold your nose and blow out, or hold your nose and swallow your own saliva.

Ideal snorkelling conditions would be calm water with no wind disturbing the water, sun would also be good in assistance to see clearer
Buddy systems
Provide an extra pair of eyes and opinion, of you get into trouble there will be someone to help you out.
- always stay close to your dive buddy
- if anyone needs to return to shore, the buddy needs to go too
- no one should swim away, from or towards the shore alone
