what are the parts of a snorkel?
Strap, Strap buckle, nose pocket, purge valve, lens, Frame
how do wet suits works?
Wet suites trap a layer of water between the skin, which is warmed by the body. They also provides sun products and buoyancy.
what is equalising?
equalising is the act of allowing higher pressure air from your lungs into the middle of your ears.
why do we equalise?
we equalise because when diving deeper in water there is a pressure build up in our ears
this stops it from happening
what is positive buoyancy
occurs when the object is lighter the the liquid it is floating on. (floating)
what is negative buoyancy?
occurs when the object of heavier than the fluid it is on. (sinking)
what is neutral buoyancy?
occurs when the object is equal to the liquid it is on.
why is it having a diving buddy important ?
someone you should always stay with incase of an emergency. No one should swim to shore by themselves.
what are two methods of equalising?
- squeezing your nose and blowing out slowly
