Why do we layer our clothes?
A
It protects us from wind and rain. Ensures Maximum insulation. Wick moisture from your skin. Retains breathability.

how many layers are there, name them?
A
there are 3 layers, base layer, mid layer and outer layer

what does the base layer do and what is it made out of?
A
created a thin layer of warm air against the body. usually made form merino wool or polypropylene.

What doe the mid layer do and it made out of?
A
Its main purpose is the insulate. it help trap in body heat. usually not bulky. Polar fleece or soft shell.

What does the outer layer do and what is it made of?
A
usually light wight and packable. protects form rain and wind. most renowned material used is Gor-Tex. Allows sweat vapour to pass through.
