-from 1 June 202, all disposable vapes banned
(Attract young population, colours and fun flavours)

-NHS introduce improved pill for stopping smoking- VARENICLINE(daily tablet given over few months)
-NHs engalnd says its as effective as vapes and more effective than nicotine replacement gum
-prescription only
-reduces nicotine cravings and helps withdrawal
-according to research from UCL, can prevent 9500 smoking related deaths over next five years
(Smoking is the leading cause of preventable illnesses and disease, NHS spend 2.5b dollars each year to treat smoking)
(Some local authorities can offer vapes for those looking to quit smoking, bc recognized as a smoking cessation aid)

Targeted lung compaign

Free programme in devon and Cornwall is being offered to people between the ages of 55 and 75 who are current or former smokers and at greater risk of lung cancer
-5000 people have been diagnosed w lung cancer earlier
(Esp in stage one and two when its still curable)
