6
Q

How does Stomatex work?

A

Dome shaped vapour chambers have a tiny pore in the centre. When resting the excess body heat and persipiration rise to the dome and escape through the pores.

16
Q

What is Thinsulate?

A

Fine fibres to get more air in less space, better insulator, traps air between the wearer and the outside, breathable, machine washable

17
Q

What is Interfacing?

A

Vilene stiffens the fabric preventing snaggin

18
Q

What does a quilted layer add to a fabric?

A

Warmth

19
Q

What does microencapsulated fabrics do?

A

Reduce body odour and skin irritation

Eg, underwear, anitbac socks

20
Q

What are heat thermochromic fabrics?

A

Dye changes colour due to heat and only last 5-10 years as the micro-capsule bursts

21
Q

What are examples of thermochromic fabrics?

A

Childrens wear, sports and fire fighters clothing

22
Q

What are photochromic fabrics?

A

Dyes change colour due to sunlight, smart pigments

23
Q

What are examples of photochromic fabrics?

A

T-shirts, military clothing
