Old age and use of antihistamines (Benadryl), night shifts, Tv/phone usage, exercising 3 hrs before bedtime, alcohol, smoking, CNS disorders.
What sleeping disorder is characterized by: difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep, frequent awakening, and is more common in women?
Insomnia.
What sleep disorder is characterized by: decreased airflow during sleep for 10sec or more, O2 in blood drops, irregular pulse, BP rises and snoring is the most obvious sign?
Sleep apnea.
What sleep disorder is characterized by: uncontrollable sleeping spells that happen at inappropriate times due to a disruption of mechanisms that regulate sleep/wake times?
