1st line treatment Scabies

A
  1. Permethrin 5% cream - wash 8/12 hrs after
  2. Malathion aqueous 0.5% - was 24 hrs after
    adults and infants > 2 months old. Must be applied all over from chin and ears downward. For people who are elderly, immunosuppressed or very young, Inc face and scalp.
    All mb of household should be treated.
    2nd application required one week after 1st

fluocinolone acetonide 0.0025% (synalar 1 in 10)
Hydrocortisone with clotrimazole (Canesten HC)
Hydrocortisone with neomycin (Daktacort)
Hydrocortisone with econazole (Econacort) Hydrocortisone with fusidic acid (Fucidin)
Hydrocortisone with chlorhexidine and nystatin
Hydrocortisone with oxytetracycline (terra-corti)
Hydrocortisone with benzalkonium, dimeticone and nystatin (timodine)

Clobetasone butyrate 0.05% with nystatin and oxytetracycline (trimovate)
