Lesions begin on abdomen and then spread
Widespsread clustered blisteres but Face Sparing
How to manage pemphigoid gestationis?
Potent topical steroids
or
Oral prednisolone
What is polymorphic eruption of pregnancy?
Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy
When does Polymorphic eruption of pregnancy present?
3rd trimester or immediately post-partum
How does polymorphic eruption of pregnancy present - symptoms?
Begins on lower abdomen, extends to thigh buttoks and arms
Also has pregnancy striae
Spared Umbilicus
Complications of polymorphic eruption of pregnancy?
Preterm delivery
SGA birth
What is prurigo of pregnancy?
affects 20% of pregnancies,
itchy excoriated papules
when does prurigo of pregnancy present?
in 3rd trimester, resolving after delivery
What is pruritus folliculitis?
Prurituc follicular eruption with papules and pustules affecteing trunk.
When does pruritic folliculitis present?
Starts in 2nd or 3rd trimester, resolves a week after delivery.
Management of pruritic folliculitis?
Topic steroids
What is atopic eczema during pregnancy?
Eczema that worsens or starts at pregnancy
Commonest pregnancy rash
Managed with emollients and bath additives
