Clean Stall with power SOP

A
  • HASELL Check

ENTRY:
- Carb heat on / Fuel Pump on / Mixture Rich
- Power off
- Increase back pressure to maintain altitude

RECOVERY:
- Carb heat off at stall warning
- Relax back pressure i.e. nose down to build up speed
- Add power i.e Full Throttle
- After take off Checks ( -Brakes, - Undercarriage fixed, - Throttle / Mixture set, - Landing light off, - pump off, - Flaps down.)

Stall w/o power, 2 Stages of Flaps

A

HASELL Check

ENTRY:
- Carb heat on / Fuel Pump on / Mixture Rich
- Flaps to 2
- Power off
- Increase back pressure to maintain altitude

RECOVERY:
- Carb heat off
- Relax back pressure
- Add power i.e Full Throttle
- Flaps to 1

Precautionary landing SOP

A
  1. Initiate slow speed (Flaps 1 / 2,200 RPM)
  2. Select Field (WOSSSS)
  3. Run 1: 500ft AGL flight cross landing check, descend to 300 AGL on final and climb back to 500ft (ALWAYS LEFT TURNS)
  4. Run 2: from 500 ft AGL to 100ft AGL back to 500ft.
  5. Run 3: 500ft to short-field / soft-field landing techniques.

Fast Descent

A

ENTRY:

- Throttle back (1,700 RPM)
- Mixture lean

ANTICIPATE LEVELING OUT 10% of Rate of Descend i.e. 800 ft p/m means 80 foot leveling out

LEVELING:
- Carb heat off
- Mixture slightly richer
- Throttle back to cruise RPM 2,200
