Agility?
Being able to change direction quickly without loosing time or balance.
Eg: football player, they need to be able to dodge around defenders and to change detection quickly without loosing the balance.
Balance? what are the 2 types of balance?
the ability to stay stable on a surface
EG: Dancers and gymnast.
2 types of balance:
static - still EG: headstand
dynamic- moving EG : cartwheel
coordination?
ability to move two or more body parts accurately and smoothly.
EG: hand eyes - serve in tennis
foot eye - penalty in football.
power ?
power= speed x strength
EG: a javelin thrower, uses speed in the run up and strength in their muscles to create power in the throw.
Reaction Time?
the time takes for the performer to react to a stimules and respond.
EG: sprinter to the gun at the start of a race.
