° Perpendicular plate:
viewed within the structure of the nasal cavity which aids the nasal septal cartilage and vomer in forming the nasal septum.
° Crista galli:
a verticle midline continuation of the perpendicular plate superiorly into the cranial cavity, serves as an attachment for layers covering the brain
° Horizontal cribiform plate:
within the inner surface of the cranial cavity. Present on the superior surface of the ethmoid bone surrounding the crista galli.
o Where is the vomer bone located?
° Located in the midsagittal plane within the nasal cavity.
Know where the hyoid bone is located
° Superior and anterior to the thyroid cartilage of the larynx.
o Know what the piriform aperture refers to.
° The hole on the skull where the nose is.
