Stirrup, Last part of the ear, look like a stirrup.
Tympanic Membrane
Ear drum, before all the bones
Sternum
Middle of chest, hold ribs
Manubrium
Top of the sternum
Body
Middle of the sternum
Xiphoid Process
Last part of the sternum
Vertebrosternal
Attaches directly to sternum (top ribs)
Vertebrochondral
Attaches to sternum indirectly by cartilage (Middle ribs)
Vertebral
Don’t attach to the sternum, (floating ribs) (bottom)
Cartilage that connects the Sternum and ribs
Hyaline Cartilage
Cervical
Top of the Spine
Thoracic
Middle of the Spine
Lumbar
Bottom of the spine
Sacrum
Fuse bone at the bottom of the spine.
Hyoid bone
Below the mandible Does not attach to another bone, Tongue attaches to it,
Coccyx
Bellow the sacrum more fuse bones, (Tail bone)
Centrum (body)
Middle of the vertebrae
Transverse Process
Bone sticking out to the side of the vertebrae
Spinous process
Middle bone sticking out of a vertebrae.
Vertebral Foramen
Hole in the vertebrae.
Atlas
Supports the skull (nod yes)
Axis
Support (shake head no)
Dens
Bone fragment sticking out of the Axis.
Phalanges
Fingers, and toes (bottom)
Metacarpals
Bones in palm
Carpals
Wrist bones
Humerus
Large bone in Upper arm
Radius
Larger bone on thumb side of arm.
Ulna
Smaller bone on pinky side
Metatarsals
Bones in the top flat of your foot
Tarsals
Ankle bones
Calcaneus
Large bone bottom of your foot
Talus
Big bone on top of Calcaneus
Hallux
Big toe
Scapula
Shoulder blade
Clavicale
Caller bone
Acromion
Hold clavicle to scapula
Glenoid Cavity
Hole between humerus and scapula
Illiac crest
Crest of the pelvis (Hands on hips)
Illium
“Body” of the pelvis
Pubis
lower end of the pelvis
Obturator foramen
Hole in the pevis for blood vessels
Ischium
Very bottom of the pelvis (Different angles for male and female)
Head Femur
Ball of the femur
Neck Femur
Long part connecting the head of teh femur
Greater Trochanter Femur
Part of the “top” of the femur
Lesser Trochanter
Small bump on inside of the femur near the top.
Patella surface
Indent for knee
Patella
Knee cap
Lateral condyle
Swirls on end of the bone, both sides
Lateral epicondyle
Side of the femur
Medial Epicondyle
Middle of the femur.
Tibia
Larger bone in leg
Fibula
Smaller bone in lower leg
Medial Malleoulus
Points in the bone toward the middle of the leg (tibia)
Lateral Malleoulus
Point in the bone (fibula)
Zygomatic Process
Bridge between zygomatic bone and the temporal bone.
Spine
Down middle of back made up of vertebrae
Femer
Top of the leg, very strong thick bone
Vertebrae
Bones that make up the spine, split into sections
(26) (24 free, 2 fused)
Sternum
Bone in the middle of the chest
Styloid process
On Ulna and Radius it is the little hitch/bone fragment sticking out of the bone on the end.
Olecranon Fossa
A dip in the bone of the Humerus between the Lateral and Medial Epicondyle
Coracoid Process
Stick at the top of the Scapula
Suprascapular Notch
Notch between the spine and the Coracoid process
Intercondylar Eminence
Very top of the tibia a little stick.
Trochlea
At the end of the Humerus a sick in the middle of the huero=us
Capitulum
Notch at the end of the Humerus near the side. Opposite the medial epicondyle.
Acromial End (feet)
Part of the clavicle. On the end closest to the zig zag.
Sternal end (facet)
Flat end of the clavicle, opposite the acromial end.
Tibia tuberosity
Top of the tibia, right before the body.
Pubic Symphisis
Tiny bone at the very bottom of the sacrum, In between the Ischium
Deltoid Tuberosity
On the Humerus in the middle where the muscle connects.
Olecranon Process
Top part of the ulna (like the head)
Ossicles
