Inflammation of the Bursa, Usually caused by repetitive motions
Arthritis
Inflammation of a joint
Osteoarthritis
Inflammation of bones and joints, usually associated with aging
Gouty Arthritis (gout)
Inflammation of the joints caused by excessive uric acid in the joints
Rheumatoid Arthritis
An autoimmune disease where joints become swollen, painful and immobile
Herniated Disk
Rupture of the disk that results in pressure on spinal nerve roots
Ankylosing Spondylosis
Inflammation and stiffening of the vertebra (form of rheumatoid arthritis)
Spina Bifida
A Congenital defect that occurs early during pregnancy where the spinal canal fails to close around the spinal cord. Can be caused by a lack of folic acid.

Condition of curve or swayback found in the lower spine
Scoliosis
Bent or curved spine
Osteomalacia
A Bone softening due to disease cause by a lack of Vitamin D to help calcium and phosphorus enter bones
Osteoporosis
A decrease in bone density and increase in porosity; causes thinning and weakening of bones
Greenstick fracture
Bone is partially broken. It breaks on one side and bends on the other. More common in children.
Open Fracture
Bone fragment protruded through the skin at some point.
Closed fracture
Bone broken but no break in the skin
Comminuted Fracture
Bone is splintered or crushed in several places
Spiral Fracture
Fracture where the bone has been twisted apart
Compression Fracture
Several bones are compressed upon each other
Stress fracture
Small crack in bone that develops from chronic over time excessive impact
Osteomyelitis
Inflammation of a bone and bone marrow
Osteosarcoma
Malignant tumor of bone and flesh
