Oración Subordinada
a sentence that contains a sintagma that is structurally dependent on the nucleus of the sentence
ex. queiro (que vayamos juntos)
Oracion Subordinada Sustantiva
when there is a “que” or infinitive verb (nadar, bailer, cepillar)
Oración Relativa
when a sintagma gives more information about a noun after a nexo
Oración Adverbial
when a sintagma gives more information about the MAIN verb of the sentence
Oración Adverbial Propia
the sintagma can be replaced by an adverb
Oración Adverbial Impropia
the sintagma CAN’T be replaced by an adverb
Oración Concesiva
there is a difficulty or problem/ inconvenience that inhibits an action or process to be carried out
Oración Compuesta
combination of complete sentences with just a nexo between them

the part after preposition that finishes the sintagma
Adverb
a word or phrase that modifies or qualifies a word that isn’t a noun
Modifier
a word or phrase that modifies an adjective

when there is a preposition
Noun Complement (CN)
adds additional information, such as an adjective, to a noun
Atributivo (ser/estar/parecer + something)

a sintagma written in the passive voice (the noun first and then the verb that acts on it)
