Single Pilot Resource Management Flashcards
SRM consists of
- Task Management
- Automation Management
- Risk Management (RM) & Aeronautical Decision Making (ADM)
- Situational Awareness
- Controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) Awareness
What is Single Pilot Resource Management
The art and science of managing all resources available to the pilot, onboard and external, before, during, and after the flight to ensure successful outcome of the flight
What should your first priority be at all times?
Fly the airplane
What is the main goal of task management
Prioritize and select the most appropriate tasks to successfully manage a flight
What is Automation Management
The ability to control and navigate the airplane using the automated systems installed in the airplane
What is Aeronautical Decision Making
A systematic approach to the mental process used by pilots to consistently determine the best course of action in response to a given set of circumstances
What is Risk Management
The process of risk management is to proactively identify safety related hazards and mitigate associated risks
Situational Awareness
Is the accurate perception of the operational and environmental factors that affect the airplane, pilot, and passengers, during a specific time
Controlled Flight Into Terrain
Occurs when an airworthy aircraft flies into terrain, water, or obstacles
Four risks during every flight
Pilot

enVironment
External pressures
What are five hazardous attitudes by pilots
Anti-authority Impulsivity Invulnerability Macho Resignation
What are the 5 Ps of SRM
