SAC assessment tool
(4)

A

The SAC Assessment Tool reflects the normative guidelines developed by the IT at a Consensus Conference in 2007 for various types of restorative and surgical cases based on a classification system referred to as SAC (Straightforward, Advanced, Complex).
. The SAC Assessment Tool takes the user through each step necessary to identify the degree of complexity and potential risk involved in individual cases.
Dental practitioners can this way better, match cases to their skills and experience level while at the same time further their knowledge on a theoretical level.
. The tool is available online for free

Q

Esthetic Risk Assessment (ERA) table:
(2)

A
  • The ERA table was developed to assist clinicians in the diagnosis and planning of treatment
in the esthetic zone and to identify clinical situations that could contribute to an esthetic
    compromise.
  • During the consultation phase of treatment, the ERA acts as a checklist and visual analog
scale aiding the clinician and patient in determining the level of risk associated with the
    treatment from an esthetic perspective
