What is sin?
The action or thought that separates humans from God.
How can Christians save themselves from the consequence of sin?
that they can be saved from it through good works: following Gods rules and believing in+following Jesus

Humans have free will and have chosen to sin
What is Original Sin
The idea that humans have inherited a sinful nature from Adam and Eve. All humans are born with an urge to sin.
what are christian beliefs about original sin?
it is where Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the garden of Eden and since then,all humans have a built in tendency to do wrong
what is the consequence of sin?
separation from God forever - in hell
What is salvation?
- Salvation means to be saved from sin and it’s consequences, and to be granted eternal life with God
- salvation repairs the damage caused by sin, which has seperated people from God
What is salvation through grace?
Given freely by God through faith in Jesus. Not deserved or earned, free gift of God’s love.
What is salvation through good works?
salvation achieved through having faith in God and obeying Gods laws (e.g 10 commandments and Bible teachings)
How did Jesus bring salvation?
when he died on the cross. he saved Christians from the punishment of their sins because he took the punishment for them so they can restore their relationship with God.
How do ideas about sin and salvation influence Christians?
- influences them to show love to others who are in need, like God showed loved for humans when he sent Jesus to save them
- influences them to follow the example of Jesus, to show that they believe in him and so they can have eternal life -John 3:16
