ℹ️ When to use Präteritum (Simple Past Tense)
- Präteritum (Simple Past Tense): Primarily used in writing for narratives and reports. It describes completed actions in the past. In spoken German, it’s often replaced by the Perfekt, except for some auxiliary and modal verbs.
