calmness, drowsiness, tiredness, lowered awareness, and responsiveness
Sedation
muscular spasms of the throat, neck, eyes, jaws, tongue, back or whole body
Dystonias
rigidity, shuffling gait, muscle stiffness, stooped posture, drooling, and a regular, coarse tremor
Parkinsonian Symptoms
muscular discomfort, manifested by motor restlessness…unable to sit and appears agitated
Akathisia
reduced motor activity, listlessness, low spontaneity, and apathy
Akinesia
involuntary movements, primarily of the face, tongue, mouth, and neck, but also of the extremities
Tardive Dyskinesia
dry mouth, blurry vision, urine retention, and constipation. Nausea and vomiting are other possible symptoms
Anticholingeric Effects
A lowering of blood pressure related to changes in one’s position. it is manifested by fatigue, loss of balance, fainting, and falling
Postural Hyoptension
life threatening. fever, akinesia, rigidity, delirium, dystonia, and abnormal behavior
Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome
difficulty with erections/ejaculation, low libido, breast enlargement, galactorrhea, and menstrual irregularities or amenorrhea
