Columbia (1981) - lost in 2003 on re-entry

Challenger (1983) - lost in 1986 (named after HMS Challenger of Ocean survey fame)

Discovery (1984) - Smithsonian D.C (named after a series of HMS Discoverys including the Arctic/Antarctic exploration fame).

Atlantis (1985) - last shuttle into space in 2011 - Kennedy Space Centre

Endeavour (1992) - California Space Centre (after HMS Endeavour, Capt Cook’s ship)

The Enterprise is on Intrepid in New York (named after the Star-trek enterprise)
