Q

GH dislocation tests

A
  1. apprehension: surrender position, abduct 90, ER, flex 90 - push shoulder forward, will hurt them (look at face)

Q

supraspinatus tests

A
  1. empty can: arms in front of you slight angle, thumbs down, resist doc pushing down on them
  2. drop arm: abduct arm to 90, tell them to slowly lower arm - wont be able to do it

labral tear tests

A

O’briens: flex arm to 90, adduct across chest, IR with thumb down, put down on arm - pain is positive

Q

biceps test

A
  1. Speed’s: flex arm with palm up, as pt to resist as you press inf = pain in bicipital groove = pos test
  2. Yergason’s: flex elbow to 90, doc ER & pulls down on arm as pt resists = stability of biceps tendon

16
Q

subscapularis tests

A
  1. lift off: IR arm so back of hand is on back, have them push hand out against R – poor strength = weakness
  2. bear hug: cross arm to opp shoulder, attempt to oppose doc pulling arm off shoulder
17
Q

SC joint dysfunction

A
  1. shrug shoulder = distal up, proximal down = sup clavicular head
  2. protract shoulders = distal anterior, proximal posterior = ant clavicular head
18
Q

Spencer’s technique

A
  1. extend
  2. flex
  3. compress w/ circumduction
  4. traction w/ circumduction
  5. adduct & ER
  6. abduct
  7. IR
  8. Milk
