cannot externally rotate or abduct shoulder

tx: painkillers, NSAIDs, corticosteroid injections, exercise, physiotherapy

humeral head is not lying in the gelnoid fossa. neuropraxia to axillary nerve

immediate manipulation and reduction under the sedation in ED resus. if this fails then undergo closed reduction under GA.
