Shoulder Flashcards
Describe the capsule of the shoulder…
- Attached to articular margins
- Loose inferiorly to allow mobility
- Encloses tendon of LH biceps.
- Strengthened by ligaments and RC muscles
What are the major ligaments of the shoulder?
Coracohumeral
Glenohumeral
Transverse humeral
How many degrees of freedom are available at the shoulder?
Three
Which muscles are responsible for shoulder flexion?
1) Deltoid (anterior fibres)
2) Pec Major
3) Biceps Brachii
4) Coracobrachialis
Which muscles are responsible for shoulder extension?
1) Deltoid (posterior fibres)
2) Latissimus Dorsi
3) Teres Major
4) Triceps (long head)
Which muscles are responsible for shoulder abduction?
