Hip Joint Plan Flashcards
What is the classification of the hip joint?
Synovial ball and socket joint

Describe the joint capsule at the hip…
- Attached to articular margins
- Tight posteriorly and strengthened by ligaments
What is the function of the synovial membrane at the hip?
- Lines capsule
- secretes synovial fluid (nourishes cartilage, removes waste, reduces friction)
