What is the capsular pattern of the shoulder?
A
lateral rotation, abduction, and medial rotation

What movements would tight lats effect in the shoulder? why?
A
- shoulder flexion or abduction
- due to it inserting at the posterior hip and also on the humerus it would need to lengthen for these movements

How do you measure pectoralis minor tightness?
A
have patient lay supine with hands down at their side. Measure distance the shoulders are off the table and apply pressure to see if there is resistance to movement

When is a normal total shoulder arthroplasty indicated?
A
fracture, OA, and RA

When is a reverse total shoulder indicated?
A
when greater congruency and stability is needed in the shoulder, such as when an unrepairable supraspinatus tear is present.
