Q

How to manage the “fades on clip edges” function.

What is the hotkey for it?

What’s the benefit to using this?

A

In preferences under “record/warp/launch” there is a toggle to turn on and off.

alt/opt + cmd + F
*CAN USE while automation is on

Auto fades help mitigate clicks and pops in clips when audio ends abruptly

Sometimes you’ll want it off when working with audio like drums so it doesn’t smudge the transients.
