What is Flat (constant) shading?
A
- Take one vertex of the triangle
- Then use the Local Illumination Model to work out a colour
- Apply that colour to every pixel in the polygon

What are the disadvantages of Flat Shading?
A
- can clearly see the shape of the mesh
- Mach Band Effect, makes areas seem darker and brighter at the boundaries of a change in intensity

How do Phong and Gouraud Shading differ?
A
Gouraud interpolates colours
Phong interolates normal vectors
