Not required in climb or cruise under -40C.
Should be on prior to and during descent (all temperatures)
5) What does a FAULT light in the ENG ANTI ICE pushbutton indicate?
Valve disagrees with selected position

Light illuminates blue

N1 limit is reduced and N1 idle is increased

Yes, as N1 idle is increased

System will perform a 30 second test

- Leak detected
- Electrical power supply fails
- After landing when wing anti-ice on in flight
11) What does the amber FAULT light in the WING ANTI ICE pushbutton indicate?
Valve position disagrees with selected or low pressure detected.
12) In what position do the wing and engine anti-ice valves fail if electrical power is lost?
Wing fails closed, engine fails open
13) On the ground, with the PROBE/WINDOW HEAT pushbutton in AUTO, when are the probe and mast heaters activated?
When at least one engine running or in flight

From auto to manually on
