A

Sexuality encompasses our physical development, sexual knowledge, attitudes, values and behaviors. In other words, it includes everything that defines us as girls and boys, women and men.

Refers to everything about you as a male/female person. Includes the way you act, your personality, and feelings about yourself.

The bishops definition of sexuality

A

some people describe sexuality is the language of love, a force that draws people out of them selves towards others. It is also a fundamental aspect of an individual’s personality/identity. Sexuality, maleness and femaleness, is not something that we have, but something we are. It’s one of gods gifts of creation that involves the whole person: body and spirit.

herpes

A

one of the most common STDs worldwide. It is divided into two types. Type 1 is typically oral herpes (ex. cold sores). Type 2 is typically genital herpes. usually starts as a blister that later become open sores. Painful and itchy. Contact with the sores may cause transmission of the virus. Once infected, you carry the virus forever - there is no cure. There are medications available to help treat outbreaks and allow them to heal quickly.

Syphilis

A

Is an std that usually enters the body through mucus membranes (ew lol). infected can pass on disease when a rash or sore is present. 4 stages: primary is a chancre (painless sore) on genitals/anus/mouth. secondary is highly contagious rashes 4-10 weeks in. latent stage is no symptoms and lasts for a year and if a mother gives birth in that stage she passes it on to her infant, too. late/tertiary stage many many health problems (health, heart, eyes, etc).

an std caused by a bacteria that can grow and multiply easily in warm, moist areas of the reproductive tract like the cervix, womb, Fallopian tubes, and in men the urethral tubes. it can be cured but permanent damage may have been caused.

social use: i’m going druggies with moderate consumption + can develop into more frequent use
binge use: overdose + problems with parents
heavy use: may cause significant and lasting physical harm + leads to problems in one or more areas of a persons life
dependent use: compulsive/excessive drug use, inability to meet personal responsibilities
