A

It is a type of cell division , it doesn’t produce identical cells.

What happens in 1st division meiosis?

A
  1. the dna duplicates
  2. Chromosomes line up on middle
  3. Pulled apart , each cell has one of each chromosomes , a mixture of mother and father genes
  4. This makes a genetically variant version of the mother and father cells
