self-taken vulvo-vaginal swab - GC and CT dual NAATS test
bloods HIV anf syphillis +/- Hep B and C
urinalysis or pregnancy test as appropriate
symptomatic female Ix
self-taken vulvo-vaginal swab - GC and CT dual NAATS test
bloods HIV anf syphillis +/- Hep B and C
high vaginal swab for microscopy and pH testing for trichomonas vaginalise (TV), bacterial vaginosis (BV) and candida
high vaginal swab for M,C&S, TV, Candida
depending of history and examination:
pharyngeal and rectal swabs for GC and CT NAATS culture
dark ground microscopy (primary syphillis)
HSV PCR
Urinalysis
asymptomatic male Ix
first pass urine - GC and CT dual NAATs test
rectal pharyngeal swabs in MSM
Bloods HIV and syphillis +/- Hep B and C
symptomatic male Ix
first pass urine GC and CT dual NAATs test
rectal and pharyngeal swabs in MSM
Bloods and HIV syphillis +/- hep B and B

urethral smear - GC/NCU (Microscopy)
- GC culture plate - cultre and sensitivity
- rectal and pharyngeal swabs and culture in MSM
- dark ground microscopy (primary syphillis)
