What’s different about sex chromosome pairs?
A
All the other 22 pairs have the same size and shape with matching pairs of genes. The 23rd pair are sex chromosomes. The X chromosome is larger than the Y chromosome which only has a few genes in it.

How is a girl created?
A
All eggs contain an X chromosome, so the sperm can either contain an X or Y chromosome. If a sperm with an X chromosome fuses with the egg, it becomes XX (a girl)
