Put bloodline in pump, put chamber in holder, secure T lines, connect dialyzer and put tube in prime bucket, spike the NS (clamp NS line). Place dialyzer with arterial side down.

What do you do after venous lines are all clamped?

Put venous chamber in holder,secure lines in holders, attach line to the dialyzer, and place tube in bucket.

How do you prime the arterial line?

Answer 5

Open the saline clamps and fill line with NS. When filled, clamp NS lines and fill the chamber by opening up the arterial chamber pigtail.

How do prime the venous line?

Answer 6

Turn the blood pump to 150 and push the prime button. Fill the dialyzer (arterial end down) with 300 ml saline. Machine will stop once primed.

What is the next step once the lines are primed?

Answer 7

Stop the blood pump and marry the lines. Then open the big clamps to have babies. Vent the venous chamber. Put venous line beneath the occlusion clamp. Run tests.

After machine tests are complete, what do you do?

Check the water, attach the blue Hanson to dialyzer, rotate dialyzer to venous side down. when is filled and bubbles are out, rotate, attach the red Hanson to dialyzer. Attach the transducers and open the clamps. Set blood flow to 300 and dialysate to 500.

How do you refresh the prime?

Stop the pump. clamp the bloodlines. Unattach the venous line and allow 50 ml to drain out and clamp line. Attach the line to the patient. Start the blood pump to 300 and drain 250 . Clamp line and attach to the patient
