How do you refresh the prime?

Stop the pump. Clamp arterial and venous lines. Hold arterial line over the bucket and drain 50 ml. Clamp arterial line. Unclamp the venous line. Start the blood pump at 300. Drain 250 in bucket. Stop the pump and clamp the venous line.

Ensure that the patient receives fresh NS. It removes sterilant and air from the ECC
