4
Q

I am vulnerable to compression from raised ICP during my route as I run over the medial part of the petrous bone in close proximity to the edge of the tentorium cerebelli.

16
Q

What dense connective tissue structure is found running the length of the longitudinal fissure and to what does this attach anteriorly and posteriorly?

A

Falx cerebri attaching anteriorly to the crista galli and superiorly it fuses with tentorium cerebelli.

17
Q

What dense connective tissue structure is found running between the inferior part of the occipital lobes and the cerebellum below and to what structures does this attach laterally and posteriorly?

A

Tentorium cerebelli

Laterally: Superior angle of the petrous ridges of the temporal bone.

Posteriorly: The transverse ridges upon the inner surface of the occipital bone.
